Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Source Select Marketing Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our") is based in Alberta. This policy explains how personal information is handled when you visit our website, request information, or work with us. Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) applies to relevant private-sector activities in Alberta; the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) may apply to interprovincial or international commercial activities.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide: Contact or project inquiries may include your name, business, email address, phone number, project details and materials you choose to send. Please avoid including sensitive information that is not needed for your request.
Quote calculator: The calculator currently prepares a local preview and does not send the quote to us. Regular quote drafts, including service choices, project notes and entered contact details, are saved in your browser. Quotes started directly from a core service are temporary and are discarded when closed.
Technical information: The website host may record IP addresses, requested pages, timestamps and browser information in access or security logs. The public website does not currently include a session replay or analytics recorder.
External services: The footer and contact section include embedded Google Maps. When it loads, your browser communicates with Google, which may receive technical information such as your IP address and use its own cookies. Payment links open Square; payment information entered there is handled by Square under its own privacy policy. Website fonts are served from our own website.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your personal information is used for the following purposes:
• To provide, improve and personalize our services.
• To communicate with you about your inquiries, orders, or projects.
• To process payments and deliver products or services.
• To send promotional communications (with your consent).
• To comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
When consent is required, we seek it for the identified purpose. Sending a project inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We seek additional consent before using information for an unrelated purpose, unless the law permits or requires otherwise.
3. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with:
• Service Providers: Trusted partners who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processors, delivery services, or IT support.
• Legal Obligations: Authorities or organizations as required to comply with applicable laws or legal processes.
• Business Transactions: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
External services may process information outside Canada and are subject to their own terms and applicable laws. Contact us for information about the providers involved in your particular project.
4. Data Retention
Regular browser quote drafts expire after 30 days without changes and are deleted the next time you visit the website. Editing a draft starts a new 30-day period. Existing drafts without an expiry receive a 30-day expiry when first opened after this update. Use the calculator’s AC control or clear website data in your browser to remove drafts sooner. People who can access your browser profile may also access saved drafts; avoid saving private details on shared devices.
Inquiry and client records received by our team are retained for the project, business and legal purposes for which they are needed. Contact us to request deletion or information about the retention period for a specific record; legal recordkeeping requirements may limit deletion.
5. Your Privacy Rights
Under Canadian privacy laws, you have the following rights:
• Access and Correction: You may request access to your personal information and correct any inaccuracies.
• Withdrawal of Consent: You may ask to withdraw consent, subject to applicable legal or contractual restrictions. We will explain any effect on the services you request.
• Complaints: Please contact us about privacy concerns. You may also contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta for matters covered by Alberta PIPA, or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada for matters covered by PIPEDA.
To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information provided below.
6. Protecting Your Information
We take the security of your personal information seriously. We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your data against loss, theft, unauthorized access, or disclosure. While no system is completely secure, we strive to use industry best practices to keep your information safe.
7. Browser Storage and External Content
We use browser local storage for regular quote drafts and session storage to remember dismissal of the draft-storage notice for your current browsing session. These features are not session replay. The inquiry form uses a session cookie for request protection; the administrator area uses session cookies for authentication and request protection. You can clear website storage or manage cookies in your browser settings.
Embedded Google Maps can make separate requests to Google. Our website currently has no session replay recorder or advertising tracker.
8. Links to Third-Party Websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing personal information.
9. Children's Privacy
This is a general business services website and is not directed at children under 13. We do not ask visitors for their date of birth and do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact now@sourceselect.ca with the details needed to locate the submission. We will review the request and take steps to delete information collected inadvertently, subject to applicable legal requirements. A parent or guardian should be involved when a minor requests a service.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy and will show the revision date here. Where a material change to our information practices requires notice or new consent, we will provide that notice or seek consent before applying the change. Please review this policy periodically.
